Introducing risingSUD

Under the aegis of Renaud MUSELIER, the President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, on Monday 4 March 2019 Bernard DEFLESSELLES (President of risingSUD, Regional Councillor, Member of the National Assembly for the Bouches-du-Rhône) will introduce the new identity of the regional economic development agency and present the agency’s road map for 2019-2021.

risingSUD, a new Sud region is ascending…

The competition between European cities and regions is intense, which means the promotion of the Sud region’s economy and the enhancement of its international reputation is a major political challenge. risingSUD is meeting this challenge by supporting the Sud Region’s economic policies and fostering business growth and job creation.

risingSUD’s overriding mission is to accelerate growth and enrich territories in the Sud region. This mission is spread across four key objectives: accelerate business growth, expand companies internationally, develop major structura projects, and attract investment and talent.

“We have helped to create a dynamic ecosystem for all entrepreneurs, from small artisans to major industrial companies. risingSUD is leveraging its expertise to accelerate business growth and to highlight the territory’s numerous advantages. Its road map is clear: the agency will be at the forefront of the Sud Region’s economic development initiatives by leading the Operations of Interest to the Region (O.I.R.) key sector program. The region will benefit from the program’s target actions in terms of jobs and investment with fixed goals of creating 50 000 jobs by 2021 and generating €1 billion in investment,” announced Renaud MUSELIER, the President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.

“Our economic development agency risingSUD will help us to attract international talent and to promote the expertise and savoir-faire of a region that inspires people around the world,” added Bernard DEFLESSELLES, president of risingSUD, Regional Councillor, Member of the National Assembly for the Bouches-du-Rhône.
