So French, so food in Israel: A Successful Mission

Last month, a regional delegation travelled to Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem in Israel as part of the 7th edition of the So French So Food event, which is also called the French Food Week. The delegation was led by Caroline POZMENTIER-SPORTICH, the Vice President of the Sud Region in charge of international relations, and François DE CANSON, a Regional Councillor and the President of the Regional Tourism Committee for the Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.

The So French So Food delegation follows on the heels of regional participation in the DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival in September 2018. The Sud Region also took part in the International Mediterranean Tourism Market exhibition that was held in Israel in February 2019.

These various trade initiatives met with immediate success. There has already been one confirmed business implantation in the region, with Q-CORE Medical that will open in Marseille, while 5 other Israeli companies or investment funds are now actively seeking to open operations in France.
