The World Economic Forum (also known as the Davos conference) brings together no less than 3000 international renowned experts from worlds of business, politics, science, and civil society in Davos, Switzerland. The 50th edition of this annual meeting will take place from 21 to 24 January and it is one of the key events in terms of world economic impact and news. Among other issues, the 2020 edition will focus on the consequences of the 4th industrial revolution.

In addition to heads of state and high-level economic decision-makers from 90 countries, no less than 500 journalists will cover the event. The event will also bring together 50 members of the Forum’s Global Shapers Community(made up of people aged 20 to 30) and 100 members of the Forum of Young Global Leaders (under the age of 40).

Jean-François ROYER, the CEO of risingSUD, will represent the Region Sud at this event. The objective of the mission is to meet with leaders of major international companies and present them with the economic advantages of the Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.

risingSUD has well-developed relations with the World Economic Forum, including an event last September when, in partnership with Provence Promotion, the agency welcomed a delegation from the World Economic Forum that included prominent members of the Young Global Leaders, the Technology Pioneers, and the Global Future Council communities.
