Retour sur l’édition 2024 de Viva Technology

The 8th edition of the Viva Technology trade show in Paris attracted record exhibitors and crowds!

With over 165 000 visitors and almost 13 500 start-ups in attendance at its most recent edition, Viva Technology has confirmed its position as Europe’s leading trade show dedicated to technological innovation and start-ups.

For the eighth year running, the Region Sud and its partners provided start-ups from the South of France with the opportunity to showcase their innovations at the regional stand. This year, 37 regional start-ups* took part in the trade show, which ran in Paris from May 22 to 25, 2024.

Officially inaugurated by François de CANSON, the Vice-President of the Region Sud who was representing Renaud MUSELIER, President of the Region Sud and Deputy President of Régions de France, this year’s regional stand focused on the economic potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The stand also featured the presence of Bruno BONNELL, the head of the French General Secretariat for Investment, Isabelle SAVON CAMPAGNOLA-SAVON, the Vice-President of the Region Sud in charge of entrepreneurship, and a host of public stakeholders from across the business ecosystem.

For its part, the risingSUD team was mobilized to coordinate the presence of the 37 regional start-ups during the four days of the trade fair. Through diverse initiatives, they were able to capture the attention of investors, the media, and visitors.

risingSUD also oversaw the welcome of international delegations from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, and Canada.

Regional start-ups from the South of France had the pleasure of welcoming several government figures, including Christophe Bechu, the French Minister for Ecological Transition and Cohesion of the Territories, and Frédéric Valletoux, the French Minister for Health and Prevention. This was an excellent opportunity for these rising stars of the tech world to showcase their latest innovations.

Prospecting meetings organized by risingSUD led to the identification of a number of international companies with potential plans to set up operations in France, and more specifically in the South of France.
