risingSUD develops new business opportunities with the Persian Gulf states
12 June 2024risingSUD was a partner of the Vision Golfe 2024 conference held in Paris on June 4 and 5 at the French Ministry of the Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
Vision Golfe is the leading business event for relationships between the Gulf Countries and France. This event enabled the risingSUD to strengthen its ties with the local business ecosystem and create new opportunities with economic stakeholders in the Persian Gulf area.
Organized by Business France under the high patronage of the President of the French Republic, the 2024 edition brought together 1200 people. More than half of the participants were business and economic leaders from the six countries that compose the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.*
The two-day conference enabled the regional delegation, led by Isabelle CAMPAGNOLA-SAVON, Regional Councillor and Vice-President of risingSUD, to showcase the dynamic economy of the Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region by organizing a series of high-impact events.
With the support of the Région Sud, ten regional companies participated in more than 100 key business meetings to boost their activities with strategic partners from the Persian Gulf. The regional companies that made up the delegation were Alert Smart City, Aurae Cocoon, Batrilium, Deep Scouting, Diginove, Exakom, Ipartner, Maca, Tuito, and Videtics.
The Vision Golfe 2024 conference also saw the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) and the Port of Marseille-Fos. This agreement should increase trade between the two ports and reinforce Marseille-Fos's position as a privileged gateway for maritime corridors linking the Gulf States and Europe.
risingSUD and its regional partners (IMED’s HOMERe programme for youth employment in the Mediterranean and the Emerging Valley tech conference) have been working closely with major stakeholders in the Persian Gulf to support the internationalization of regional companies in the North African and Middle Eastern markets and to facilitate inward investment projects in the Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region.
