Objective: 2tonnes
18 September 2024Why calculate your carbon footprint? How can it be done? What role can we play? The risingSUD team participated in the 2tonnes workshop to answer these questions!
Committed to a cross-organisational approach to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) that included participation in La Fresque du Climat public awareness campaign in March 2023 and the presentation of its CSR plan in February 2024, risingSUD is pursuing its ambition to become a model for sustainability.
On September 11, Nathalie GARELLI-MILIUS and Cassandre MILIUS (ACTA Consult France) gave a 2tonnes workshop on reducing the carbon footprint for individuals, which provided a fun way for the risingSUD team to:
- Identify long-term climate goals
- Become the decision-makers the public and private sectors need for the future
- Make informed policy choices
Each employee has been made aware of how they can significantly reduce their average carbon footprint and reach the equivalent of two tonnes of individual CO2 emissions by 2050. According to climate experts, this is the maximum amount of allowable carbon emissions per person if the planet is to meet its climate goals.
Thanks to the workshop, methods of making personal and collective commitments to lowering carbon emissions were identified. This will help the risingSUD team shape a realistic and inspiring green transition in the South of France.
risingSUD strives to support the emergence of new models to make the South of France a land of excellence in terms of the environment and the green transition!
