The South of France continued to attract investment and talent in 2023
06 March 2024Despite the global instability and a downturn in international investment in Europe, the Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region remained a highly attractive location for business in 2023 with 117 incoming projects from 28 countries that will generate 3693 jobs over the next three years..
The Sud region stands out from the national average in terms of the proportion of new business launches (62% of new projects in the region vs. 47% of projects in France). Its policy in favor of the environmental and social transition has also attracted projects with a genuine commitment to CSR policies (40% of projects in the region).
The South of France continues to attract investors from all over the world. While the United States remains the region's number one source of investment, the vast majority of projects and jobs come from Europe.
For the first time, risingSUD has also analyzed the results of French investment in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur: 1230 French companies set up in the region in 2023 and they created 4120 jobs.
